i7 4790K performance increase?

Hello, I have a GTX 980 and I'm wondering what kind of performance increase I will seem in games upgrading to an i7 4790K from an i5 4670K if any.

From what ive heard, the i7-4790k is better for editing and a working PC and that the i7-4770k is better for gaming.

At most a couple percent, and that's assuming stock speeds on both CPUs (4GHz vs 3.5GHz). If your 4670K is overclocked, then... nothing.

4790K is simply a higher speed revision of the 4770K. The 4790K is better than the 4770K at every possible task.

The difference is usually nothing given same clock speed as hyperthreading usually does add any benefit for games. The few games which do see an improvement have seen less than 5fps in the benchmarks I have seen.

In short totally not worth it

Pretty much none it wouldn't be worth it for gaming.
