Hi again guys, I was just wondering what are some safe temps for my particular case with my i7 4790K overclocked to 4.7 GHz. I'm using a Noctua NH-D14 with a Corsair 760T case, so what are the safest temps?

I'm a bit paranoid I just decoded a HEVC video file ( 6GB ) to a H.264 file (9 GB) and CPU was at 100% usage at about 13 minutes it reached max temp in one core of 76 degrees and the max average was 72-73. Should I be worried? I think it's reasonable for an overclocked haswell doing such a complex task but some friend told me "never go past 70 degrees"

So what do you think?

Solution
No worries at all if you use it at 100% for 90% of its life ID want it under 75 max temp, but anything under low 80s occasionally will not harm anything.
Thanks guys, the CPU is only at 100% load when it has to decode HEVC content to H.264, that's about the highest task and it only takes about 15 minutes maximum. The second highest task is gaming for hours which never pases 70 degrees (most of the time 65) so I don't give it a hell of a load since everything I do is done mainly with my GTX 970
