i7 4790k Temperatures

Hi, I was just installing Borderlands on my pc, and I had a few other programs open at the same time, and I noticed my room was rather hot than normal, so I figured it was my pc. I open up MSI Afterburner along with CPUID HWMonitor, and both say the cpu is hovering around 50c-55c ???
Is this safe? Using Hyper 212 evo at 100% RPM

Are you sure that the cooler is making contact with the cpu? You might also want to try re-applying the thermal paste. The temps are nothing to be worried about though it is weird that it would be that hot with the cooler running at 100%.

thats perfectly safe and also seems pretty normal for a 4790k while gaming, especially in a warm room. You have close to or around 20c headroom before you need to concern yourself with cpu temperature.
