I7 4790k vs i7 4790


The only benefit of getting the k model is support for overclocking and the higher base clock. If you have a good enough cooler I'd say go for the 4790k and crank it up. It's definitely one of the best cpu's out there at the moment.

I would advice get the K for future issues, may come a time when your CPU could be slacking then an overclock can overcome it.

I am not a overclock lover truth be told, I think overclocking does not give a massive jump to performance, saying this I have contradicted what I advised above. Overclocking gives like 2-10% boost
