I was able to max most games with the 970 I had on 1080p. Not sure how with 2 in SLI you weren't crushing that resolution.
In any case, the 1070s should dumpster anything you throw at them at that resolution.
Sorry clicked wrong button. Don't forget its 120Hz, 1080p is an easy standard these days but to push this res to 120fps in modern games on high settings consistently can be demanding, which i get with GTA 5.
If you were not happy with your current performance then it should be a good upgrade. If you are already maxing out all your games then it is a useless upgrade.

I maxed out every game except gta 5. I'm hoping to max it out with the 1070s
