Hi guys, I just got a new i7-4790k for audio purpose i'm not a big gamer, only play Battlefield Bad Company 2 Online time to time. My pc is a dual boot between OSX 10.10 and Windows 7 HP

SPEC:
i7-4790K (with Intel HD 4600 up to 1500 mb)
GA H81M HD3
8x1 + 1x2 GB DDR3
HDD 1 TB

I have a question: Does the cpu performance change when Intel HD graphics is enabled (1024 mb or 512) or it doesn't make any difference on CPU performance???
I'm asking this since I can choose to use my old AMD Ati Radeon HD 5450 (512 MB) or the Intel HD.
I notice that the Intel HD graphics performs better in BC2 Online but not sure if it can affect my cpu power.
I also Notice that my ram lowered from 10 gb to 9 gb due to Intel HD Enabled at 1024 mb

Solution
No, it won't affect your CPU performance, however, it will eat much more into your on board memory. If you use a single channel memory and I see that you are using single channel for some reason, it will affect you even more, since graphic intensive applications need a very wide memory bandwidth. So, because you are using integrated GPU and have a single channel memory, your CPU performance will be bottlenecked by the memory. A discrete GPU should not have that problem.

Advice: either buy 2x4GB 1600MHz paired RAM or a decent gpu

EDIT: Ok ATI video card Kext enabled and full working on OSX. One more question: In Bios settings do you suggest to leave Intel HD graphics enabled or disabled anyway since i don't use it??? Thanks
