I7 5820k vs i7 6800k

As the title says which is better the same price difference doesnt really bother me which ocs better i originally thought the 6800k would be better but multiple people have said the price difference isnt worth it. So i want to know is the difference not really noticeable or is there a slight difference.

6800k has some technological benefits, and the 14nm architecture also means higher efficiency, which means it also overclocks better.

The 6800K actually overclocks worse, on average. 14nm shows nice power consumption reductions when clocked at ~3.8ghz and below, but actually has worse characteristics than 22nm at higher clocks.

It is a few percent faster per clock, which is worth something.

so does the 5820k oc better to the point where its better than the haswell architecture benefit

Overclocked, they're about equal in performance and power consumption. At stock, the 6800K is better at both.

alright so i should get the 5820k then if they are equal when fully oc'd?

YMMV. I'd say if the 5820K is significantly cheaper, AND you plan to max OC both of them, I'd go for the 5820K.

welp yah i think ill got 5820k its 80 to 100 cheaper and i plan on oc'ing to the max on both anyways so thanks for your input.
