I want to overclock my current non K i7 6700. I understand it won't do much but I've seen plenty get to 4ghz. I am turbo boosted at 3.7ghz, is it even worth it to go to 4? I currently have a stock cooler by the way.
Overclocking non-k processors overclocks full system, that means USB ports, PCI-E ports, RAM, and these things don't like to overclock. You can damage whole system, and 300 mhz overclock is not noticeable. And with stock cooler it is even worse idea.
