i7-6700+Gigabyte B150M-D2V DDR3+8GB ddr3
i7 4790+Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H+8GB DDr3
which will be a better option to buy?

Note: Thc pc is not for gaming, i know i can buy a 4690 with better graphics card, 4690k or some i5 with graphics card. But i want to buy a i7. the budget is limited so i can not get a ddr4 motherboard for the sky lake processor. i will buy a graphics card later. which will be a better choice. here the B150M-D2V is a ddr3 ram and the skylake is for ddr4, so which will be better from this two option.

Solution
i7 6700 and i7 4790 are close to each other in term of performance.
The main attraction to pick i7 6700 instead is on the chipset.
H/Z170 can do quite a lot more than the normal H/Z97 like DDR4 support.

If you are combining i7 6700 with a mobo which can only support DDR3, I do not see the main benefit to go i7 6700.
Better go with an i7 4790 and B85 or H97, if you want to use DDR3.

ah..Do you know about E3-1231V3? This one is for normal users an i7 4790 but without the iGPU. It is cheaper than i7 4790, which makes this processor more interesting than i7 4790, but you must buy a GPU since E3-1231V3 does not have any.

i know 6700 is the better option but i have to buy a B150M-D2V DDR3 mb with it. and somewhere i read that the ddr3 ram with the skylake processor have some issues with voltage

Solution

thanks. i think i will go for the 4790, if i buy 6700 with a ddr3 motherboard now and intend to sell it two or three months later to buy a ddr4 motherboard, i will not get any resale value for the ddr3 motherboard. so it will be better for me to buy a 4790 with a ddr3 motherboard

another q, 6500 + GA-Z170XP-SLI + 8GB DDR4 2400, vs 4790 + B85 + 8 GB ddr3 almost same price range here.
or 6700+ B150M-D2V + 8GB ddr3

here the price for each product,
i5 6500 -- $210
GA-Z170XP-SLI --$180
8GB DDR4 2400--$70
Total-- $460

4790--$310
B85--$85
8GB ddr3 -- $49
Total--$444

6700 -- $330
B150M-D2V --$95
8 GBddr3 -- $49
Total--$474

Note: The main difference is the motherboard price here, the ddr4 motherboard is to much pricey here, and i am on a limit. so which combo i should buy
