Four reasons you might go for the 7700:
  1. It supports faster 2400 MHz memories, while Skylake supports maximum 2133 MHz frequency. The difference is slight, though.
  2. You'll get Intel HD 630 integrated Graphics instead of Intel HD 530. There is no major improvement here either.
  3. The 7700 supports encoding of more newer codecs in hardware. You might need this feature for encoding videos in, e.g., h265 10 bit codec.
  4. I recently read that Kabylake processors have fewer known errata (145 bugs comparing to 190 that Skylake chips have).
