I7-6700HQ + GTX 1070 or i7-7700HQ + GTX 1060

Hi Guys,

Just want to have your opinion which laptop should i buy? I'm just using it for web browsing and playing triple A games. Price for i7-6700hq + GTX 1070 USD100 cheaper. They want to clear the stock. Which one better?Thx

I'd go for the i7 6700HQ + GTX 1070 over the I7 7700HQ + GTX 1060 any day. skylake and kabylake are the same performance per clock so outside of benchmark racing, you wont notice a 200 mhz difference. the GTX1070 on the other hand is a much more potent graphics card than the already strong GTX 1060. the thing is with laptops you are more or less stuck with the video card it comes with, so pick the highest performing part you can afford

CPU as the bottleneck is far less likely than GPU as the bottleneck. So barring any other reasons the GTX1070 laptop should game better in almost every game

Roughly 15% max CPU difference anyway likely even if CPU was the bottleneck in a game (or doing a CPU-intensive task) though CPU cooler would also affect results.
