I just bought a new second hand laptop and when I came home with it I found out that the fan was blowing like a apache! But because its a msi I though it was jist a msi thing, but when I checked the fan speed and how much degrees the cpu/gpu is I found out that only the fan for the CPU was running really fast and the temperature was 70/80 degrees celcius while doing nothing on it! I first thought the first owner overclocked the cpu but that wasn't it after resetting the BIOS and using overclocking programs. I am going to try to replace the thermal paste and hope that will work. When I start a game and play it stutters and the temperature is 90, but it has a GTx 970m in it and 16GB RAM.
Talking about the MSI GP40 6QE phantom. Also the wind that comes out of the laptop is cool. Please help me or tell me what I can try! If replacing the thermal paste doesn't work I am going to underclock the cpu and definitly cry....
