Toshiba Satellite laptop, Win 10.

I've been having display issues so I thought getting the latest driver could help, I'm sort of learning as I go but the way I understand it is the 6700HQ has a graphics processor built in/part of it/something. It's called the Intel® HD Graphics 530. So I downloaded the latest driver for that, the 530.

Device manager wont find anything recent on its own, Intels website says if having trouble to uninstall the existing driver in device manager, did this, then install the downloaded (latest) driver.

But I get this error: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software." I have the EXACT processor this driver is made for, so its a bit confusing, am I doing something wrong here?

Solution
Some laptop brands do not allow you to install Intel HD graphic drivers downloaded from Intel's site. Instead the laptop is limited to the Intel HD drivers from the brand name's site. For example, I have a Dell Latitude 3540 with the i5-4200u CPU and a Radeon HD 8850m (Radeon Crimson identifies it as a Radeon R9 200 series GPU). Dell setup the laptop not to allow any Intel HD graphics drivers to be installed unless I download whatever outdated driver Dell has on their website.

There is a way around this though. Instead of downloading the executable version (*.exe) of the drivers which would automatically, you should download the Zip version of the drivers and unzip the files into a directory...
1) DDU
https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

2) choose the "recommended" option for DDU and reboot

3) let MS update itself, or use the Intel software tool, or go to the exact laptop site for your model and use the recommended version.

If you still have issues there is probably a deeper problem. Other solutions include:

a) SYSTEM RESTORE:
Go to System Restore and go to the earliest restore point just PRIOR to your problems. It will tell you what programs are impacted. You may want to try this NOW. You may not have a restore point though.
- type in "restore" to search
- click "create a restore point"
- system protection, "system restore"
- choose a different restore point
- read the list, look at the dates...
- choose the most logical one (and write down programs affected to reinstall if needed)
- finish

b) W10 in-place upgrade:
This reinstalls W10 to itself so is a last resort. It basically goes like this but ask later if still stumped

#1- W10 install disc, or create the W10 boot USB/DVD via MS media creation tool
#2 - W10 running, run "startup.exe" from the W10 install media
#3 - *choose to keep files and programs
#4 - don't put in new serial (next) and let finish, then finish MS updates

I mention that as my second point, but he's basically already DONE this which is why I suggested trying DDU first as there seem to be some corruption or other software issue. Sometimes DDU helps with this.

Afterwards go to your Device Manager and look for the Intel HD graphics core which would likely be in the Display Adapter section. Right click and select Properties. Then click the Driver tab. From there you should be able to click the Update Driver button and then select the folder where you unzipped the Intel HD drivers to.
