i7-6700K 2133 ram speeds?

Hello everyone,

just want to make sure that i7-6700K can support and run higher ram speeds (2400) like this ram set i am going to buy: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2 x 8GB) Memory Model BLS2K8G4D240FSB. Cause it says just 2133, which i am bit worried and if it can work, what would I have to do, to get it working at those speeds?

You want to buy the rated speed you want then set it in the BIOS.

Your combo should support.

Support for DDR4 3866(O.C)/3733(O.C)/3666(O.C) /3600(O.C.) /3466(O.C.) /3400(O.C.) /3333(O.C.) /3300(O.C.) /3200(O.C.) /3000(O.C.) /2800(O.C.) /2666(O.C.) /2400(O.C.) /2133 MHz memory modules.

You don't buy 2133 , then raise it , you buy the rated speed you want.

So the ram sticks i am buying should be totally fine then? plug and play type deal?

Yes you can setup in the BIOS easily , NO PROBLEM WITH 2133.

Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2 x 8GB) Memory Model BLS2K8G4D240FSB runs base at 2400. So I would have to change something in the bios eh? so it's not auto and or just plug and play type deal for those ram sticks. That, or i just buy ram running base at 2133

Most of the time not Auto , Bios change is simple.
