Hello everyone!

I have a liquid cooler the Corsair h100i v2 and I was wondering what my temps should be. At idle, the temperature is about 20 Celsius. When 100% load, the temperature is about 70 Celsius. At 25% load, the temperature is about 40 Celsius to 60 Celsius. I am not sure if I mounted the cooler wrong (Reseated twice). I have installed corsair link. My profile is at performance, so my fans would roar loudly. Is this all normal?

I have the same cooler on the I7 5820k. I am Overclocked to 4.0Ghz and idle at 40c for the main core. That's what my motherboard says, then Speccy says I'm at 33c on most of my cores. Where do you have your radiator, also make sure you didn't accidentally overclock if that's possible?

it is at the front.

The only difference from how it is right now is that I flipped the radiator with the tubes on top instead. Didn't make a difference.

EDIT: No overclock according to BIOS.

Make sure you have both of the cords plugged in. The H100i v2 should have two cords that plug into the motherboard. There is a pump and there is a fan. Perhaps it could be possible that the pump isn't plugged in, so the water isn't moving at all. That's one possible thing, another could possibly be thermal paste. I usually put new thermal paste on after I take my cooler off. You should try to get rid of as much air bubbles in the thermal paste. Air creates heat. Those are my two finale suggestions. I don't know what else could be causing high temps.

This person shouldn't be getting that high of a temp. He's not over clocked and he's getting pretty hot, how ever, you are overclocked and your temps are higher. I don't think idle should be that, I mean the fx-9590 is a heat box and it idles at 40c

I should mention mine is mounted at the top with the MasterCase 5 top air flow addon, I also have the rear fan blowing onto the CPU assembly. I leave my side off always.

With a few adjustments he can lower those temps a bit, but I think his installation should be ok.

I don't use much thermal paste just enough to create a very thin layer.

I have my radiator mounted at the top of my Mastercase Pro 5, stays cool. I feel like something is wrong if he's running stock speeds. I look on google and the idle is 25-30c.

Don't worry about idle, that has a lot to do with room temp. My condo is warm and is why my idle is higher.

His case looks like a MasterCase5 too, that top airflow addon with vertical air flow is quite good.

The case is a Phanteks Eclipse P400. I have been suggested to flip the fans to the other side to see if it works out. Driazz, one of the cords is for the fans to be able to connect, while the pump goes into the CPU_FAN header according to the manual.
