I7 6700k not booting

I have a msi z170a m7 motherboard and a i7 6700k processor with 8g corsair lpx ram. Windows 10 pro. When I power up it gets to windows logo hangs for a while then reboots. When I go into the bios it sees the processor as being installed. Bios is set to default settings. When I put an older Intel processor it books up no problem. Help. Nick.
