Hi, i will upgrade my system for Game Development and Gaming. I'm thinking of this components:
i7 5820K
Asus Rampage V Extreme
2x GTX 980Ti
and a good 16GB DDR4 ram. (thinking A-Data for design)
I need multi core power for unreal engine 4's scene build procces and Intel i7 6700K is launched a few days ago. I am confused because i love Asus Maximus VIII Hero's design and price 😀 ( If i buy i7 6700K, i will buy Asus Maximus VIII Hero but maybe will change)
My question is; i7 6700K's performance per core's better than i7 5820k. But i7 5820K have a 2 more cores. if i7 6700k working at 4,8-5Ghz can catch up i7 5820K? Which is better for multi core power and gaming? And which of the will be less bottlenecks for dual gtx 980 ti?

Note: Unreal Engine's Scene Build procces like render but build procces more quicker than render procces. For example; my i7 2600K (4.6Ghz) finish build procces is maximum 8-9 minutes.

Solution
i7 5820K is a much better idea. If you look at Anandtech's review (http://www.anandtech.com/show/9483/intel-skylake-review-6700k-6600k-ddr4-ddr3-ipc-6th-generation) Skylake actually performs worse in games than Haswell (and therefore Haswell-E). With the extra two cores, the 5820k will perform better in rendering, and gives you extra PCI-E lanes, should you want to add in a PCI-E SSD for example.

Solution
5820K for sure, their no guarantee you can get to 5.0 with the other processor and with a decent overclock on the 5820K in the just 4.4 area you would need to overclock the other over 6.6 to make up the difference of the 2 additional cores.
