Hello, I purchased a Z170 ASRock Extreme4 And a i7-6700k yesterday, and I'm using a coolermaster hyper 212 evo, with antec diamond thermal paste. My idle temps are amazing, 20c-22c.. But for some odd reason when I'm gaming/streaming It seems my second core is usually around 10c-20c hotter than the others. Then finally the other cores catch up within 5-7c of the 2nd core, is this just the way my computer is utilizing my cores? stock speeds.

Solution
It was my thermal paste, I removed the 212 and it was so thick and tough it hardly spreaded at all. I changed it up, and now i'm seeing temps closer within each other, - 51-59-50-52

a pea size of thermal paste is enough. below 10c deviation is very good. you've done it correcly now.!:)

Well, I had applied it fine before haha, I've been doing this over 10 years. It's just the thermal I had used before was hard as a rock. Anywho, I added a top exhaust fan, and my temps are now as - 58/61/52/57... This is with a air cooler, can't wait for my H110, haven't had water cooling since the first Corsair Hydro series!
