Hey. I've looked up these cpu's vs each other here: http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-vs-Intel-Core-i7-6700/3502vs3515

I'm looking to stream and play games and have some background music, webcam etc. Just gaming and streaming mostly is what I am planning to do with it. I was going to go with the i7 6700 (non k version) because I don't plan on overclocking but for 40$ more it almost looks like it's better in the single core speed as well as quad core speed (~20%). The 'k' version runs a fair bit hotter but not really a big issue I don't think. My question is, is the i7 6700 fine for streaming and gaming or should I just pay the little bit more for the k version which I don't plan on overclocking?

Solution
My best advice is to get the K processor paired with a Z170 board.
The reason is simple you pay 50 bucks extra now and when it no longer performs the way you wish then you overclock it and your right back to your desired performance level. This can get a couple more years use out of the PC before buying new again. Looks like a very good investment to me.
If you never plan on overclocking, the non-k version is just fine.

Either one is more than enough for your needs. I currently game, stream, and have chrome, spotify etc with an i5-4690k and have no issues.
