i7 6800k is it worth buying now?

Hi. I have a i5 4460 and i want to upgrade. I found someone selling a i7 6800 for 250 euros (286 usd) should i buy it?
If you guys know a good cpu, motherboard and ram combo please let me know i am on a budget of 800 usd

It is better to look at Ryzen 5 2600 for about €190.
Look for a decent B450 mainboard and DDR4 RAM kit.

Looking at what is available today I would also vote for a Ryzen or the i5-8600k if your pocket money allows.

Before the prices of Intel's 8xxx went up, for USD250 you should get I5 8600k so, no! forget I7 6800.

I5 4460+16GB RAM is actually still ok for today.
Yes, there is a bottleneck on some new cpu heavy AAA games but it is still fine for most cases.
If you really want or need more cpu performance, skip every platform before AMD Ryzen and Intel Coffee Lake.
Important:
Because the next gen cpu (I5/7 9xxx) is already at the front of our door, I would wait for now and see how they perform.

If you really can not wait, I would consider these:
Red team: Ryzen 5 2600, 2600x, 7 2700, 2700x
Blue team: I5 8600k, I7 8700k.

My first thought was to buy the i7 6800k.
But i wanted to make sure that I was making the right choice. From what i see i am not and i thank you guys.
My second choice was to wait for black Friday and buy a good motherboard cpu ram combo.
And i thing that's what I am going to do.
So guys what is the best motherboard, cpu, ram combo in YOUR opinion
(i am more of a blue team not because i dislike amd is because i grew up with intel cpus and i dont like sudden changes)
(also do you guys think i have a good build if i change my cpu motherboard and ram?)

Well, possibly the low cost alternative considering the given hardware would be to buy a used i7-3770.
I still own a setup around i7-3770k with decent OC and may say that is can run everything and I have no need to upgrade (even the market tries to tell me something different).
The CPU-cost is one componen, but if you need to renew RAM and MB (and cooler) as well, this excercise get expensive very quickly.

So my suggestion: When you are missing power today, go for a used i7-3770. Put the saved money into a box and wait until Christmas and possibly the next gen CPUs that might also impact the prices of the current gen.
