Hi, I'm kinda new to overclocking. I'm using a kraken x61, x99 pro gaming i7 and a 6800k, gtx 1080, EVGA G1 750w and 4 drives. I want to oc this chip and see how far it can go, the problem is I don't know how far is too far. Any help would be appreciated. Currently on 1.3v at 4.2ghz. 100% load is about 50c. Also, adaptive or override? Don't want to kill or degrade my chip.

Solution
adaptive, and i wouldn't go past 1.35v. 4.2@1.30v is pretty good, i would have happy with that chip there. 1.35v might not get you stable at 4.3ghz anyways, so if it doesn't, just be happy with 4.2ghz and only 50c temps, should last a long long time.

Hello, I have the same chip and I have overclocked it to 4.2Ghz with 1.3v. I did not have an issue. have you come up with a new solution for better performance and better voltage?
