I7 720QM vs Core 2 Duo P8700

yo guys im back with another VS question. Got a bud who is wants a laptop like mine now and there are 2 in his price range

and he wants to know how well those to stackup against each-other (and so would i to be honest )

thanks cause other than the abount of ram and the TYPE of ram i dont see a difference worth note

Between those i would choose the G51J because the main difference between these 2 is that G72 is 17" with 6GB RAM and C2Q CPU and G51J is 15" with 4GB RAM and C2D.
4GB vs 6GB won't make a lot of difference so you will be fine with 4GB and can upgrade the RAM later(Since it supports up to 8GB of RAM).
But the i7 CPU is better than the Q9000,so i vote for the ASUS G51J unless you need 17" screen
