I understand the differences in 7700 HQ and 6700 HQ and looked at the cinebench results of ~ 10%. So I have an option to pick right now between two identical systems with the only difference being the above two processors. The difference between both is roughly 190$.
1) My purpose for this laptop is to be able to watch/render 4K gaming. I am pairing this with a 1070 GTX.
2) I want something for atleast another 5 years. It doesn't have to be the latest and greatest but something that is lock and load for a good amount of time.
3) Is the monetary difference worth it? I plan to go with a 4K monitor for the laptop so this will cut into the monitor's budget. My monitor usage is about 70% of total time on the system but I need the portability.
