Hi,

I recently updated to an i7 7700K & an ASUS STRIX Z270H motherboard. Everytime I start my computer or restart, the PC will automatically boot into the BIOS. The problem only started after I went from my FX 8320 to the i7. Any help would be appreciated.

Upgraded to i7 7700k from AMD? I do not think you can simply keep your windows moving from completely different processor platform.

No not from AMD, just from a Haswell.

I can get into Windows which is how I'm typing this but the first boot, example, the computer is off and i turn it on, I will boot into bios. I can exit the bios and go into windows but everytime I reboot or start the PC after it has shutdown, I boot into BIOS. Do you think refreshing Windows will work instead of a reinstall? I just reinstalled about 2 weeks ago before the i7.

Did you fix this? I've got the same issue with a 7700k and z270h. Everything works absolutely fine, but every boot goes into bios and I just save and exit and it boots to windows. This is a brand new pc. I've checked bios and can't see any settings.

I did fix it,
I had 2 hard drives at the time, one was failing. I took that one out, not sure if it did anything though. Then I ended up re-formatting my SSD and changing it from MBR to GPT, then re-installed Windows. After that, it stopped, I'm not sure why that was causing it but so far it hasn't happened since.
Hope this helps
