[SOLVED] i7 7700k and RTX 2080ti getting low fps

so as the title says i got i7 7700k and RTX 2080ti and i just tested out AC origins on 1080p on ultra settings and i got 57 fps how is that even possible ? so i searched on youtube for benchmarks on gtx 1080ti with the same CPU as mine and a video i saw got between 70 to 90 fps thats way higher than me i also got SSD and i got 16 gb ram dual channel and also i tested insurgency sandstorm i get 50 fps if there was a lot of activity or a lot players on my screen im 100% sure this isnt normal so please help

could it be the main problem is the motherboard not letting my GPU and CPU work to fullest ?

The issue is the 7700K can't handle the 2080Ti at 1080P.

So either get a new monitor, 1440P or a new MB and CPU.

OP, it may have something to do with your overall setup: AC: O, 7700k/2080Ti vs 7700k/1080Ti (Scroll down to AC: O on the list)
That's with ultra settings, by the way.
Granted, those are likely theoretical fps results.

ok lets forget about the 2080ti i had 1080ti and the same CPU it gave me the same FPS 40 to 50 so 1080ti is weaker than 2080ti but the at the same time it gave me the same FPS while the video from youtube shows a better fps with the same GPU i used to have

Well you did get a cheap MB and your ram is slow.

But I wouldn't put much stock in YT videos these days, most of them aren't quite accurate.

But as your system is now, it's out of balance performance wise so that needs to be changed.

But you won't need to do anything if you got a new monitor, 1440P.

Becuse you will have the same results. Your RTX 2080 TI will idle at 1080p resolution. That card is a 4k card all day long.

those YT tests used Z series motherboard. so the 7700k can be overclocked up to 4.9GHz. thats way diffrent than using it with H motherboard

The gtx 1080 ti is also a flag ship high end card. The same rules apply and that card also shouldn't be used for 1080p resolution.

Definitely seems like the better option here is a monitor upgrade vs a cpu upgrade. Go 1440p, looks much better!! And cheaper than a Cpu.

well idk i thought a RTX 2080ti card would do something at 1080p at least like keep it at 60 fps and never goes down

I stand corrected. Ray tracing is the one exception. Disable it to get higher fps
