Hi. I have a stock i7-7700k that freezes when I enable all 4 cores. It runs fine with only 2 enabled, however. With any more than 2 cores, it freezes before windows can even load.
My build:
Cpu: i7-7700k
Mobo: rog strix z270-i mini itx
Gpu: powercolor red devil radeon rx 580 8gb
Ram: 32gb gskill trident z
Aio: h100i v2
Psu: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3 650 W
I have tried:
-over volting it (thinking it was having drops in voltage)
-reinstalling windows
-enabling and disabling "processor amount" in msconfig
-starting with only 3 cores enabled
-reseating ram
-starting with only one ram stick installed
-switching gpu's
-updating bios and drivers
-starting with 4 cores and hyperthreading off
I'm at my wits end and don't understand what to do now. Any help would be appreciated 🙏
