i7-7700k + GTX 1070 or Ryzen 5 1600 + GTX 1080 ti?

I'm currently thinking which way I should go. What I want is the best performance in game, to be exact 1440p and 144hz stable 60+. I am not considering streaming but i7-7700k is just a stable CPU my past experience with the AMD FX series was bad. However I read a lot about the ryzen series and I think its good. The thing is, what do you guys think will be a better choice for a long run?

P.S. I can't add 1080 to i7-7700k not gonna happen the decesion is between too but I'll still consider what you have to say.

Ryzen 5 with the 1080 ti Any day.
The Ryzen 5 can hold around 100fps without dips in pretty much all modern games while the 1070 at 1440p can't.

While there is no better cpu for games than 7700k I think Ryzen1600 will give you more with 1080, and I don't think It can bottleneck that card
