This should be worrying ...

Are these safe ? I'm also getting 90 degrees during heavy load / gameplay in Arma , Hitman 2016 & PlayersUknown Battlegrounds .

I heard delidding the i7-7700k could improve temps below 20C due to the poor internal TIM but I'm not willing to risk it yet as I just recently bought it ..

after you seated the cooler, can you move it easily? I mean grab the cooler heatsink and try to move it left to right and shake it loose from the cpu? can it be done? or does the heatsink sticks to the cpu as if locked? if it keep sstick to cpu as if locked, you put the heatsink on correctly and forgot the TIM. If it can be shaken as if it's going to fall off any second then you put it on incorrectly or missing a screw/did not tight it on snugly enough.
one other thing, when you touch the heatsink is it warm or hot to the touch after 10 minutes? Are the CPU fans still running?

Hi sorry for the late response , I'm using the x61 Kraken but it died out on me just the other day so I'm currently resorting to my older Intel Stock Cooler .

But even with the Stock Cooler hitting @ 90~100 degrees means there's something still wrong or is it just the specs of Kaby Lake and its TDP being 91W

Do I need to resort to underclocking my i7-7700K ? But surely I can solve this problem temoporarily even with the Intel Stock Cooler as my x61 died out recently ...

atm I'm trying to save up for a better cooler and get the x62 Kraken or the Corsair AIO

Even so my i7-4770K had better thermals than the i7-7700K..

Any more suggestions ?

Cheers :wahoo:
