So I am happily playing world of Warcraft. And then I get into YouTube. Bam. Computer suddenly ------- itself. It just turns off without warning. I have only built this thing in April!!! I do have a heatsink on it. I'm so pissed. I can turn it on. My fans come on, graphic card and mother board lights come on but I can't see ------ on the screen. I Have a feeling its my cpu because there are countless reviews that say they overheat. What do you guys think?

Well you can take out both of your RAM sticks and power on the system. If you hear any error beaps thats good, insert one stick at a time to see if it will post.
I bet its one of the motherboard's DIMM's or the mobo as a whole
decemberdagger - Welcome to Tom's. Let me be very clear here of the rules

1. Watch your language, no profanity period. I have edited your first post to remove those words.

2. No personal attacks. Your reply above you will see has been deleted.

You've been here all of 13 minutes and have managed to break two of our major rules. This is your warning. Do not use profanity, and be civil with people no matter if they post something that you don't like. If you don't like it and you think its harassment or whatnot, feel free to hit the alert button and we (the moderators) will deal with it. Understand?

Can you provide full system specs? What heatsink are you using? Are you overclocking?

Hello. I'm not overclocking. I only play world of Warcraft on it. I have msi z270 motherboard. 8gb ram. Corsair 80 plus gold cert 1000 watt psu. And nvidia geforce 1050 ti.
I'm using cooler master heatsink w/fan. I have three other fans in the pc build.

No. There is almost 0% chance that it's your CPU. I have never seen an Intel CPU "fail" with normal clocks in the 15+ years that I have been building computers. We would need specific specs for your computer, what brand and model power supply, motherboard, cooler, etc.

Corsair 1000w psu
Nvidia geforce 1050ti
8gb ballistix ram
Msi z270 carbon pro motherboard.
Cooler Master Heatsink w/fan (evo)

You are using that budget cooler with an i7 7700K?

Interesting.

I doubt this is the answer. But for the hell of it, I would unplug it and remove the cmos battery for 5 mins. Put it back in and try to start it. You're probably going to need to use another pc to test parts.

OK, you say that you don't have a screen on boot up but does it have any error codes on the motherboard or beeps? No display on boot up issues I usually start with the video card. Please take it out of the slot and reinsert in to PCIe slot. Try booting up computer again.

I would also look at RAM, checking the slots to make sure all are seated correctly.

Actually, first, if the OP has two RAM sticks (he has 8GB of RAM), I would take one stick out and power on the PC with just one installed to see if it will boot to a screen. If it doesn't, then put other RAM stick in and take that one out. Reboot again to check. If still no screen, then unlikely both sticks are bad, so the problem could be somewhere else - graphics card or motherboard.
