i7 7700k or 5820k

I'm giving my 4790k to my bro and I'm now looking into a nee processor the 7700k or 5820k. I do do a little bit of editing not much only from time to time and I do stream from time to time also with the cpu preset at faster over very fast in obs. Will the 7700k be a better choice since I don't do much editing and streaming?

7700k betters the 5820k in non editing tasks. If you occasionally edit they both will feel the same. If you want to edit and stream, why not consider new Ryzen with 8 cores? For editing and streaming I'd get the Ryzen.

I have a Z270 mobo already from a friend and was more hoping that streaming and editing won't effect as much.

But as what I was saying I hope the 7700k is a good choice for streaming and little editing.

If you are planning on using the Z270 mobo then the only choice is 7700k because the 5820k is not compatible. If you want the 5820k then you NEED a X99 mobo.
