With 2400MHz ram, you'd be better off with Intel. Ryzen use Infinity Fabric to talk between the cores, and thats dictated by the speed of the ram. Just moving from 2133MHz to 3000MHz, or 2400 to 3200 can be @ 20% performance increase, which is more than many overclocks. Intel doesn't use the same process, so doesn't really show much of any benefits for most applications, and 2400 is the rated speed of kabylake, 7th gen Intel.
Granted it's not cheap to make such a seemingly small upgrade, but the only other option would be a platform change and both Ryzen and CoffeeLake use 2666 or better.
