Hello, I have just purchased the custom built SFF PC with the following specs
Seasonic Focus Plus 650W 80 Plus Platinum Modular Power Supply
Silverstone Sugo SG13B-Q Mini-ITX Chassis - Black
Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz (Kaby Lake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - OEM
System Build Fan - Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pro Fan PLPS - 120mm PWM [EXNO-001]
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080Ti SC2 GAMING ICX 11264MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card
Samsung PM961 Polaris 512GB M.2-2280 PCI-e 3.0 x 4 NVMe Solid State Drive
Seagate BarraCuda 3TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache HDD - OEM (ST3000DM008 )
Asetek Premium Retention Kit Intel LGA115X (35-150-0000014)
Asetek 120mm 570LC (35 -101 -1012164)
MSI Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon AC Intel Z270 (Socket 1151) DDR4 Mini ITX Motherboard 1
Team Group Vulcan T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C16 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit - Grey (TLGD416G3000HC16CDC01)
Prior to making an order the retailer advised there would be no significant cooling issues with this case but when running the PC at heavy load (like flight simming in VR) I can find that the CPU heat up to 98-100C which is the throttling limit. At idle light tasks its from 50 to 60 deg.
The quality control sheet from retailer shows 87 C CPU temp at max load.
Is there anything wrong with the way I have selected the case/components combination that cause such temperatures or there should be something not working properly in the cooing system? It is really very frustrating to buy such an expensive build and not to be sure your components are operating safely.
Thanks in advance for advice.
