Out of curiosity. I had that cpu running on windows 7 for 3 years now. No issues, never updated it whatsoever. Then I encountered with some info that it’s not suppose to work windows 7? What do I miss here Lol.

Another question. I got my CPU driver probably updated after installing latest windows 10. For instance I want to go back to windows 7- format the hard drive and install windows 7. How does this works? Is the cpu driver keeps stored in the cpu or something, BIOS? Or it has nothing to do with it and it’s within the operation system? excuse me extreme low knowledge.

After a clean install you have to install all drivers again.

You should be able to go to the webpage for (AMD or Nvidia) and manually download the most recent driver for your GPU.

It works just fine. This configuration is not supported though.
Updates get disabled and you get a nag screen about unsupported hardware, when trying to do windows updates.

To install windows 7 on a modern hardware, USB drivers (also several hotfixes and nvme drivers, if you want to install on nvme drive) have to be integrated into installation.
After that you can install windows 7 just fine.
But again - you'll face issues with unsupported hardware mentioned above.

I never downloaded update for Win7 maybe that’s why. What are the benefits of installing latest cpu driver? I literally see no difference than on Windows 10 than on 7. Also windows installs some cpu driver on installation? Both windows 7 and ten?

also what if I ignore this unsupported hardware message and disable updates for instance. It causes damage to the cpu or something? Besides not getting updates
