Hi guys, imma cut straight to the chase. I have an i5 7500 @3.4 ghz and an msi rx580 8gb OC. Where I live right now, i7's are pretty cheap. I'd like to upgrade my cpu (lga 1151 only) to an i7 as I mostly play ETS 2, which is quite cpu-heavy for me among other games. If I were to get the i7 7700, would my gpu be bottlenecking the cpu? If so, are there any i7's you would recommend which would give me better performance then my current cpu, but also wouldn't be bottlenecked too much by the rx580? I only play 1080p btw and have 16gb RAM. Thanks in advance.

Solution
Why are you scared of a GPU bottleneck?
would you rather have your GPU at 100% pushing all the frames it possibly can with ease
OR
Have Your GPU sit at 90% while your CPU is at 100% which could cause stutters/freezing/skipping etc?
Pairing an i9 9900K with an RX 580 would be bad resource management BUT I would rather have that than a 2080Ti paired with i3 9100.

i7 7700K is a good CPU that beats AMD's new R3 3300X in gaming and sometimes even in multi-thread. It's good if you can find it at a reasonable price(like the 3300X is currently ~$130 so a similar price would be jutified). Otherwise I would save more and spend on a better board/CPU.
