Hello people. I build new pc and i have problem with fps in CS:GO . I cant actually get stable 300 fps in cs go. Sometimes it drops under 200, and its not comfortable for me, because i play on 240hz monitor. My CPU and GPU usage only 30%+ . Can someone help me?

Solution
We did talk about gpu usage vs resolution, hope you reevaluated at 1080p or higher. Less resolution does mean less gpu usage.

Cpu usage is about right.

Reduce resolution, Anti-Aliasing or shadow settings, or reduce framerate on panel. Most systems can't play games @ 144hz with ultra settings. So, fiddle with your settings a bit to see if this helps.

I'm not sure about CS:GO, but some games are locked at certain FPS limits. I.e. Assassins Creed games are usually locked @ 30FPS. This could be a potential factor.

Everything on low, g-sync off, resolution 1280x720. 1080Ti overkill for cs go but i still cant get normal fps. GPU usa only 20-30% , CPU usage not more than 45%

But i cant play good on another resolutions, i saw some test on 8700k 6core and they get 300+ fps , why i cant?

See me first post and try those. Whats known to disrupt csgo fps is gamebar dvr, win10's fullscreen optimisation and also Geforce Experience. Itll be one of those or a combo i reckon.

And you're aware of fps max commands in csgo yeah?

fps_max 0, i did all what you said still no help, also i turned off turbo boost and hyper-threading. Maybe i should overlock CPU or something else?

Some people says that this is not gaming CPU ,but it's close to 8700k. Actually i know that in some games 8700k gives 10 more fps but i dont think so in cs go fps must be down to 100-150

Dual channel memory can help but not a great deal. Minus 100~150fps is alot. Your cpu wouldn't be the cause of that much decrease.

Check power plans both in Windows and Nvidia, try different Nvidia driver versions and play around with antialiasing (maybe turn it off) and see how you go.

Check monitor in-menu settings too for anything related to Gsync or other.

My monitor is XL2540, without gsync. I turned off g-sync from nvidia settings. I can send you msi afterburner benchmark. Can you pls check its normal or not.. its not possible here to send image?

CS:GO uses just 50% of CPU, and 30-35 GPU .. on some youtube tests i see how GPU works 60-70%.. i dont know what to do, i will try 391.35 driver now.

Has he tried changing profiles in Nvdia's Control Panel. Maybe he needs to change power profile of GPU for CS:GO from Optimized to Max performance for while in-game? Not the global profile though.
Have we confirmed that the Game Bar was disabled as well?
