Hi I use SketchUp pro or 3dx max for 3d rendering as am an interior designer

Currently am using i5 4440
Which is really bad at times of rendering

Which one should I go with
i7 7820x or i7 8700k

Please suggest

for "productivity" workloads, may be you should consider AMD platform.

Well this is a toughy....In terms of price to performance then Ryzen will have the edge but not by much as both Intel CPU's more than hold there own and win in some cases.......Take a look at reviews where your very use case is key.
