Hello! I currently have an i7 8086k and wanted to upgrade my graphics card to a 2070 super to play games on 2k resolution, but i'd rather wait for the 3000 series to come out. Do you guys think this will be a bottleneck or could i play games at a 2k resolution with that combination?

The i7 8086K is still one of the best gaming CPU's you can get - 6 cores / 12 threads are plenty for current games and also at 2K ultra settings the GPU is likely to be the bottleneck anyway - so I think you will be fine with any gpu up to and including the 2080ti.
