[SOLVED] i7 8700 rtx 3080 4k upgrade

i am currently using a
i7 8700 non k
msi gtx 1080ti
asus z370 f gaming board
1080p 144hz dislay
my question is if i upgrade my gpu to rtx 3080 or 3080ti (when it launches)
will i be able to play all new AAA games at max settings at 4k 80-100 fps (consideing to upgrade my display to 4k as well )
is my 8700 enough or should i sell whole system and get a 11th gen i7 when it launches ?

8700 is fine, it can handle 200+ fps without issue. The only question is if 3080 or 3090 is strong enough to satisfy your detail requirements. There are benchmarks out now for the 3080, check them and see whether you'll be happy with it or possibly add 10 or so fps more for the 3090, won't know for sure until benchies are out for it.

Get the Card and use it , and if you intend to game on 4K in the future it is better to wait for the rumored RTX 3080 with 20GB of VRAM.

and there is no need to upgrade the whole system , because simply you can just try the card on it ,if you like it then keep it , if you dont , then move the GPU into the other system ..

i guess something more than 3080 will be the perfect fit for my performance needs so i wil wait til 3080ti gets out

Rtx 3090 benchmarks will be out soon. There be probable argument Nvidia won't release a 3080Ti model that'll dethrone it's flagship 3090. We'll see how much of an improvement the 3090 really is and if a Ti model has a place between it and 3080.
