As the title states this is my current overclock. On pictures posted below I've run 2 hours of prime95 (v26.6) for 2 hours and realbench for a 30 min stress test. Thermals are higher than I would like, prime stress test peaked at 96 and averaged 88 degrees, realbench peaked at 91 and average 85 degrees. I'm fairly certain I have it stable currently at 1.28v 5ghz across all cores with LLC at level 1. I plan on delidding for lower temps next week but I just want some second opinions on what you guys think so far. I never win the silicon lottery so this would be a first and I feel like I'm missing something because it seems too good to be true.

I'll run a 30 minute test and get a screenshot close to the finish and see.

Temps, vcore, etc. after 30 minute run.

Where it says worker stopped means you failed. Means You need more voltage. A good vcore for 5.0 is about 1.35, you might get it lower but 1.28 is too low. Try upping it in small increments till you can run prime 95 without any workers stopping.

What? No, I stopped it after I took screenshot of my temps so you could see how many tests were run and my 0 errors. As I stated previously I've ran prime95 for 2 hours without failing any workers or BSOD. I also just ran cinebench 10 times in a row testing cpu. Results below are during 10th test and score of 10th and final test.

Ok, will run tonight. Thanks!

Bottom line, if it holds, that is an exceptional overclock for 5GHz at 1.28v...Mine is 4.9GHz at 1.287v. I hit 1.325v for 5GHz!!! I have just delidded my 8700K and dropped my temps down a full 18 degrees so that will make a difference and might let you squeeze a lot more out of your 8700K...looks like a very good 8700K...keep going...

Just delidded mine 2 nights ago and after some testing, not completed yet, here's my OC to 5.1 ghz. Pretty happy with the results and I feel I can drop the Vcore a bit to get some better temps.

You can also lower your CPU temps by dropping your Memory speed back to 2666mhz which is 1333mhz x 2 for dual channel at 15,15,15,35 1T using a 1.20v DDR4 slot voltage which is the spec'd memory speed for the 8700K.

Most people that have bought 3200mhz memory are determined they're going to run it at that speed not realizing the temperature negativity from overclocking the cpu memory controller 4 levels higher than it was designed to run at.

Of course if you don't care about any longevity to your cpu then you don't care about running the lowest cpu temperatures with the cooling solution you presently have which becomes more critical the higher you push your CPU overclock.

I am running chilled water cooling on my 8700K and it is presently overclocked to 5.0ghz at 1.250v running memory at 2666mhz at 1.2v, and my highest cpu core temperature running P95 vs. 26.6 is 50c.
