I'm looking to build a new PC within the next week or so. I stream a lot, and play a lot of video games including BO4, Battlefield V, Fortnite, and a lot of others. I am stuck though between getting an Intel Core i7-8700k w/ a GTX 1060 6GB, or get a Ryzen 7 2700X w/ a GTX 1070 for like $20-$30 more than the i7 and 1060.

Hi benschneiider :)

It depends on what you wish to do with your system.
Best performer in gaming only is i7-8700K ranging from 5-7% depending on game or benchmark. Which is very little really and most benchmarks are done with the CPU Overclocked to 5.00GHz. This requires a decent water cooler so you have to factor that in.

Ryzen 7 2700X comes with wraith cooler and that's good for a 4.0GHz OC.
The main difference is when Rendering or editing large video files where the Ryzen Shines.
If cost is of concern the Ryzen is about $60 cheaper. (newegg)

Both are excellent CPUs

I'm looking to stream a whole lot when playing games. And I also have a Cryorig H7 in my system right now and was wondering if it'd be better than the wraith cooler if I went with the Ryzen. But essentially idk if I should go with i7-8700k/GTX 1060 6GB or Ryzen 7 2700x/GTX 1070. Like I said I plan to do a lot of streaming on my system.
