I went into my bios, I saw vcore running at 1.255v?
Is this normal.
I however was using 4.7ghz "overclock" before that, but I just changed the speed to 4.7ghz because it is it's turboboost. The rest I left on auto, but when I resetted everything on optimized deaults it was still on 1.255, isn't the stock voltage 1.2?

Solution
The stock voltage is whatever the mobo decides it should be based on your chip, I do not believe there is a default VCORE for the 8700k that applies across all mobo's and 8700k's.

You can likely run stock clocks stable at a lower voltage if you want to do some tweaking.
