i7-8700K temperatures with a Kraken x62

Hey guys, thank you for taking the time to read this, the question on my mind is that my CPU (as the title said an i7-8700K and my GPU is an ASUS 1080TI OC Edition) temperature is reading 70c-75c while playing BF1, and most other games like fallout, witcher3, gtaV it sits around 60c ... My idle temp is between 35c-45c, while my GPU is sitting much lower around mid 50s gaming on ultra .... This is a bit alarming to me so I thought to check with people who knows best if that's normal, it's also relevant to point out that my thermal paste is an mx-4 and the temp in my room is sitting around 25c .... These readings are coming from a software called CAM


Any feedback is appreciated, also if you can help with a better software to read the temperatures and frames in game, would be awesome, cause CAM is just weird and kinda lags

Good news is those temps are safe, but you're right that they're a bit high for how good that cooler is. If you go into the NZXT CAM software can you change the pump and fan speeds? Are there preset options for quiet and performance?

I'm trying software called core temps atm, and about the pumps and fans they are both cranked to a 100% ... I'm kinda getting worried though, It's not even overclocked :C

worst case scenario is I have to reapply the paste and add a bit more

How much paste do you have on there now? In terms of thermal paste less is more. It just acts to fill in the imperfections in the metal surfaces. It should look something like this

Even though that is still a little much, as you can see it's gone off the sides.
Just a dot the size of maybe a grain of rice, spread by the pressure from the cooler on top.

Well you want to make sure you have enough too. It's not the easiest thing to do. Might be worth it to try a repaste, and make sure the cooler is on securely. I think the best way to tighten coolers is to give one screw a few turns, then the one diagonal to it, then one next to that one, and then the final one. Then you repeat the pattern until they start offering the right amount of resistance. I don't know how much that is because it varies cooler to cooler, but it should be fairly obvious.
