I7 920 Asus P6T Build Complete - 1st Build - Start-Up Help

I have completed my 1st Build. Now I am a little leery to start it up. Does anyone know of any good checklists to go through before starting it up. Also does anybody know of good step by step directions to get from computer start-up to completely set up with Windows Vista etc.

To set up windows, you need to enter the bios and set the optical as your boot drive, then boot from it and setup should be easy.

On Asus and Gigabyte boards you can select the drive you want it to start up on by hitting F12 during the post process. You do still want to go into the bios to make sure everything is seen so you can make sure the connections are properly seated and operating and change some things like if you want ACHI and other things enabled, and if you want to set up a RAID array, but to boot from dvd drives when installing the os, you can just hit F12 and select the drive you want to boot up on.

Siggy19 haha LOL that's exactly the first thing to do after you have finished building a pc because it may not boot.
