I bought a new rig about two months ago with an i7 950 processor
I've been experiencing several issues since purchase and its been in and out of repair for quite some time, starting with a BSOD on startup, failing graphics cards and now stuttering in games

Today I brought it home and ran prime95, memtest, occt and a HDD check - everything passed except two cores continuously fail after 11mins... I've ran the test several times with similar results.

Is this an issue? I'm just curious as i'm experiencing other problems with this machine and i'm wondering if this is related. CPU stays at around 45 degrees during the test, and everything is set to stock

Too me it sounds like a RAM problem 9 times out of ten when it gives that error in Prime it is memory related Prime 95 is known to detect errors that others dont that is why it is so widely used. Check your bios and make sure all memory settings are correct, check the volts, and timings. Also list what the Vcore is that the 960 is running 45C seems pretty low for a I7 at full load on Prime the Vcore might not be set correctly. I would try resetting the bios or maybe updating the bios see what that does. Then post back with the rest of your specs.
