[SOLVED] I7 9700 running really hot at stock over 100c

I just recently got my i7 9700k working and it is 100 degrees Celsius when I am just sitting in the bios
My friend said that it was probably my cooler but it is a 240mm coolermaster masterliquid rgb

That sounds like it was installed wrong. If the manual is hard to decipher, try watching some of the you tube videos showing how to install it. The pump may not be running with those temps.
