I realize this might be kind of a silly question, but I am very frame rate sensitive. With the i7-9700k and RTX 2070, am I wasting my time with 1080p? I'm about to play Anthem this Friday and I'm worried playing at 1440p will drop the fps too low. I don't plan on overclocking, mainly because it terrifies me. I have a great cooler (Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT) and 3 case fans in an NZXT H500. Unfortunately, Le Grand Macho and really any cooler good enough for the 9700k simply are too big and force me to remove the rear fan of the NZXT H500, so I just have two front intake fans and one top exhaust fan. Temps stay really cool though, never above 60 C for CPU and never above 70 C for GPU. Anyway, because of this fan situation I'm not really privy to overclocking.

All that being said, what do you all more experienced guys think I should do? Whatever I do, if I get a new monitor it'll have G Sync. My current monitor is a 1080p 144hz monitor that isn't G Sync compatible. Thank you.
