I think I posted this already, but I can't check without being forced back to the home screen, so I'll ask it anyway.

I currently have a gigabyte z370p d3 with an i5 8400. I'm planning later this year to upgrade to an i7 9700k. Will it be stable even at stock speeds, if so could I push any sort of overclock? I've seen that this board can get an i7 8700k to 5ghz but would be curious to know how such a cheap board does when two extra cores are chucked in with a 9700k. Btw I have a bequiet drp4 and I'll be getting a 650-850w psu (assuming 500w isn't enough, some psu calculators say it is, but I'm doubtful), so neither of those should be issues.

Thanks!

It should work just fine with the 9700k at stock speeds, Though overclocking I wouldn't take it the extreme, but it should do 5ghz, I got a Asrock z390 Pro4 with a 5ghz 9700k and its a worse board than that one and it does just fine, I just would make sure you have decent air flow over the VRM's, Now I wouldn't expect a 9900k at 5ghz on that board though.
