A friend of mine just got his new rigg. We ran it on userbench and the cpu score seems a little low compared to average. Even at stock base speed i feel like it should get a higher score . Is there a mobo bios update he needs? Or maybe reset bios to default settings i'm not sure . Any help would be appreciated . Also he wanted to overclock it that's what i was gonna help him with next . Most of the specs are listed here in the userbench link

Keep in mind that since Skylake there have not been many improvements in Intel chips. Mostly clock speed. If you don't let the CPU run at where everyone else is benching (The majority of people who bother to post scores for K class CPUs will be overclocked) then you are going to get disappointing results.

yes i know all the above i just mean i have a similar 8 core thats base clocked and benches at 100% score so i figured the new 9700k would be similar
