[SOLVED] i7 9700k with a new motherboard? should i do it

Hey guys

I found on newegg a sale on the i7 9700k for 220$ and I wanna upgrade from my 2600x.

I have 1070, 750W and 16GB 3200Mhz

I need a good but cheap motherboard to pair my 9700k with, I don't plan on overclocking, I just want my memory to fit and the i7-9700k,
if you guys could send me motherboards from newegg it would be awesome

also what do you think about the upgrade? I plan on gaming and streaming on my GPU on streamlabs OBS
should I get the i9-9990k for more 80$?

My goal is to stream on the 1070 so I need a strong CPU for competitive play, I need a new mobo anyway if I go for the new AMD ones, I wont buy 3700x if the new ones are out, I feel like I'd be behind when I'm investing money already.

I saw the same 9700K and 9900k offers.
They turbo up nicely to 4.9 and 5.0
For just gaming, I would pick the 9700K with 8 threads.
But for streaming and heavy multitasking the 16 threads of the 9900k looks better.
I checked and even the 9900K is supported.
Do plan on a good case and cooler since the 9900K can get hot when loaded.

I'm pretty sure my case is big enough but the 9900k does require an expensive cooling system. Shouldn't I just buy the new gens? 10700, 10600 with less cooling expenses?

You did not say what motherboard you have. If you have some dinky A320M board, it might make sense to take advantage of deals on the 9k series Intel stuff AS LONG AS YOU SCORE A DEAL ON A QUALITY MOTHERBOARD AND HAVE A KICK-ASS COOLING SOLUTION. On the other hand, if your motherboard is at least equipped with B450 chipset or better, stick with what you have until you can get your hands on a Ryzen 5000 cpu which will not need any better cpu cooler over what you already have,

I have a B350M-DS3H, it's not compatible with the new 5000 series.
I've been thinking about getting B550M-DS3H and 5600x, I have

Corsair DDR 4 16G (8Gx2) 3200 CL16 VENGEANCE LPX Black CMK16GX4M2E3200C16

Memory ^ and I'm not sure if it will be compatible with the motherboard. It'd cost me 570$. Not sure if that's the play for the price though..

You will need a new motherboard whichever way you go. Keep in mind that if you are spending $450 to buy 9700k cpu, motherboard and CPU cooler, it is too much because that's what you'd pay for a B550/5600x/cooler combo which handily outperforms this 8 core/8 thread Intel processor.

P.S. That memory should be fine whatever direction you take.
