hello im thinking of overclocking my i7 9700k 3.60mhz my motherboard is a asus z390-e gaming. thing is ive never done overclocking before so was wondering if anyone can guide me, i did try last night following this guide

Start simple with small changes. Simple as in only changing CPU multiplier by smallest amount possible and testing, step by step until tests fail and up voltage a smallest notch. Above all make sure your cooling is adequate or you'll soon run in temperature problems.

My only advice regarding overclock is to make sure that your CPU cooler and the case coolers are very good.

Thermals are a huge factor regarding the stability of your system on the long run.
